![]() The wind blows all the dirt and trash from the parking lot practically to the door of the restaurant. The location is in the eastern corner of a strip mall. The wait time for the pizza was about average and the pizza came to the table hot. The service was better than average for counter service. I would rather drink a glass of real beer and chase it with a glass of water than drink two light beers. A $6 pitcher of draft beer was offered during “Happy Hour” but there were only three choices and two of those were “light beers” so, for me, there was a single choice. The crust was so soggy that the hot pizza required eating with knife and fork. I thought the pizza was not as good as that produced by any of the major chains. The prices are proportionately inflated with a “large” costing about $20. A Raymond’s “medium” is more like a large and Raymond’s “large” is extra-large. Each order is assigned a number and the staff delivers the order to the table bearing the number. Customers place orders at a counter and seat themselves. ![]() The seating area is pretty large and includes both booths and tables. It is a carryout restaurant with seating. LIBATIONS: Miller & Bud on tap with additional bottled domestics and imports available.Raymond’s Pizza is not a full-service restaurant. It's made with eight layers of pasta, meat, sauce and four different dreamy cheeses, and it's about as close to heaven as anyone is likely to get while here on earth. Try the pizza that was ranked one of Cincinnati Magazine's Top Pizzerias in Cincinnati. ![]() In that case, the Homemade Lasagna is hands-down your best bet. Crafting your own pizza is yet another option, unless you've a passion for pasta. ![]() Still, serious carnivores go for the Extreme Meat (pepperoni, sausage, bacon, ham and beef), while herbivores favor Ray's Veggie (green peppers, onions, mushrooms, black olives, tomatoes, broccoli and light cheese). Among Raymond's specialty pies, the Grandpa's Combo (pepper, sausage, mushrooms, onions and green peppers) is always a crowd-pleaser. Nevertheless, the starring attraction here are the incredible pizzas and pastas. The food is, in a word, F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-C! The menu includes Homemade Garlic Bread, Fresh Salads, Jumbo Wings, and overstuffed Hot & Cold Sandwiches. Yes, Raymond's Pizza is a friendly family-run eatery where the welcome is as warm as the classic Italian Steak Sandwich. ![]()
